The Tiger Next Door
Camilla Calamandrei 2009 | Documentary Features
Incredibly interesting and captivating film. Very evenly played by the director, but could have been made even more interesting by looking closely at the motives of the Dennis, Joe and Winterrowd. Each one seems very motivated by self-interest (pure white, grudge, money), and looking more closely at those intentions would have added depth, intensity and drama. But whatever drama the film may lack, the audience makes up for with INCREDIBLE intensity! Go see this film.

Best Worst Movie
Michael Paul Stephenson 2009 | Documentary Features
Thoroughly entertaining. The film has all the heart of the main character. But there is no clear direction the film is going. The filmmakers need to establish earlier some motivation--that the end is the big reunion. Then everything can build to the moment of reconnection. As it is, the journey is fun and the characters are incredible, but we don't know where we're headed.

Autistic-Like: Graham's Story
Erik Linthorst 2008 | Documentary Features
Overall, a nice film. Compelling journey for the family. The film was a bit too long. Though the story arc is good, there are several minutes that could be trimmed.
