'Warrior Queen' is an historical narrative short film that unveils the powerful, yet intimate, story of the decision African Queen Nana Yaa Asantewaa makes to lead her people to war. With the King exiled she becomes the strength and protector of her homeland, the Ashanti region of Ghana. Fearless, she inspires her people to action despite their mismatch against the formidable British rule in the 1900's. In this film, she demonstrates that preserving a people's culture and tradition ensures their identity and pride. United and under the leadership of Yaa Asantewaa, the Ashanti people prepare for the battle of a lifetime that will change the Ashanti Kingdom forever.
